What is Mediumship Really Like? My Spirit Communication with Elvis Presley
Hello everyone,
Welcome to my first blog post.
My name is Sev and I’m the Gentle Medium. I'm a practicing psychic medium of 3 years, a reiki master as well as an occultist.
Today, I want to share a transcript of my conversation with Elvis Presley during a spirit communication session I did with him for the purpose of letting you know what mediumship looks like if you’ve never had a reading or perhaps are interested in booking a session with me but may not completely understand what that entails. This may also be something interesting for anyone with a death-positive outlook on life. Seeing mediumship as a celebration of someone’s life rather than a grisly affair; as it is often seen in the minds of many who are not familiar with spirit communication or the occult in general.
For those who don’t know anything about mediumship or are new to the subject, a common way to develop your mediumship ability is by joining a practice circle and in those practice circles you are sometimes even given homework. In the practice circle I’m apart of, this particular homework was to bring forward a deceased person who was famous but who you didn’t know much about. As soon as this assignment was given, I received the word “Elvis” in my mind as a knowing/feeling. This is a common phenomenon for me as it indicates my spirit team or Higher Self has nudged me with the direction or next step to take on my path. It’s also helpful for receiving advice in general.
Since I knew next to nothing about Elvis, other than a song from the Conjuring 2 (my favorite) and possibly that he had an UFO sighting experience; I thought it was a perfect choice.
So on the evening before the next practice circle (typical of me to hold it off until last minute lol) we began. I had my partner in the space with me to help feed me questions to ask Elvis as I prepared basically nothing and was gonna just see what came through.
Most mediums I know who do reading work professionally do not insist on protection, relying on their guides for this aspect of mediumship. I agree with this sentiment for the most part as your guides can be an invaluable source of protection and space-holding during a reading. But for this session, it felt important to add extra layers of protection as I intuitively felt famous spirits are more likely to be impersonated by something that either wants to mess with you (nothing more than a nuisance) or is simply attracted to the light we give off on the astral plane. This is of course - is less likely of an occurrence with bringing Grandma or your dog through for spirit communication. But as a general rule of thumb, some form of protection is always better than none.
So, I set protections, called in Hekate as the guardian of the space and with that we begin.
(Protection Invocations & Energy Work)
…
Sev: I ask that Hekate assist with bringing Elvis forward from his place, wherever he may be, bringing his consciousness forward into this space, wherever he may be and also standing as a gate, as a guardian to this space. For the duration of this session.
Sensing a presence step forward
(Chair pulled out in front of me for him)
Sev: Elvis, I invite your energy into this chair, you may sit here, and I wanna ask you questions and things and I hope that you’re willing to connect with us as well, thank you.
Elvis: I wasn’t old when I passed
Residence (telling me where he passed)
Sev: Elvis, are you here? (verifying the connection)
Elvis: Yes, I come when I’m called…in a respectful way
Sev: Thank you Elvis, well let’s start off on a high note. What did you like to do for fun?
Elvis: Play my music
Sev: Kind of an obvious answer, but we’re not gonna judge what we get, we’re just gonna listen.
Sev: Elvis, what else did you like to do for fun
Elvis: Play Guitar
Write Music (probably a joke, knowing his aversion to this after the fact)
Sev: Image Flash in my mind - He’s kind of appearing as his younger self, there’s like a smile to his face. It’s like he has small lips. (Bringing attention to his small lips)
Sev: Once again, Elvis, what did you like to do for fun outside of making music? And writing music and playing the guitar.
Elvis: I went to shows. Other musicians, festivals
Sev: Thank you, and what was your favorite car?
Elvis: Cata-
Sev: What’s a Catalina? (Lol wrong! You don’t know much about cars, it was a Cadillac)
Sev: I have no frame of reference for cars, it looks like an impala, but more square like and long, it has big wheels
Sev: What was your favorite sandwich?
Elvis: (shows me a double decker sandwich of something) Olives, Pickles, Cheese
Sev: It looks like a big sandwich - a double decker. He’s saying a Reuben? (I know now he has a favorite sandwich being the peanut butter and banana sandwich but he also enjoyed Olives, Pickles and Cheese in his sandwich creations)
Sev: Thank you, Elvis - use my brain, use my mind to communicate your favorite song.
Elvis: Blue-
Sev: The only song I’m hearing is “I can’t help falling in love with you” and the word blue
Partner: Ask him if he liked the rhinestone suit from Vegas he was pictured in
I ask…
Elvis: It was a bit flashy for me, sometimes I liked that (probably another joke)
Partner: Ask him if he liked singing or acting more
I ask…
Elvis: There’s not enough movement in acting (he did not like acting mainly due to the roles he was put in)
Sev: Conveying Feelings he gave me, a body felt sensation of movement - In his singing, there was more of a movement and he liked that aspect of the singing, of the performances.
Elvis: Stage Presence
Partner: Ask him what his favorite movie he did was?
I ask …
Sev: Image flash in my mind of a DVD cover? There’s like a car on the cover, there’s a road and it’s about a vacation
Partner: Ask him if he enjoys going back to Graceland and seeing all the tourists stomping through his house (a joke)
Sev: Conveying a feeling, bittersweet - He said he enjoys it but he kind of feels bad when he sees people weep for him, knowing he can’t do anything to comfort them.
Elvis: Sometimes they show up to the house in droves, and I just don’t know what to do.
Partner: Ask him if he liked the Cirque Du Soleil Elvis Show
I ask …
Sev: Translating a feeling - he thought it was fun and groovy
Partner: Ask him if he liked his version of Bossa Nova or Cirque Du Soleil’s version of Bossa Nova?
I ask …
Elvis: I’m biased but you can’t beat the original
My partner thought he passed in Vegas for some reason so this part is kind of odd
I ask him his cause of passing
Sev: Translating a feeling into words along with a stream of words I hear - I’m getting overdose, mix of drugs and alcohol that should not have happened (not quite accurate but he was apparently becoming addicted to drugs and had health issues too - mix of drugs is correct)
Randomly seeing a motorcycle plus a feeling/knowing of passing in the evening
Sev: What was your favorite thing about Vegas?
Sev: Translating a feeling into words - he says when he was on drugs he enjoyed the attention but when he was off of them he didn’t really like it
Elvis: It was hard to be without them towards the end
Partner: Ask him if he had a favorite singer
I ask…
Sev: Bobby-
Seeing a ship
Sev: Translating a feeling & knowing - he’s kinda saying he listened to it all, rock, indie, country anything because he was looking for inspiration
Elvis: Blue Suede Shoes
Sev: How old were you when you passed?
Sev: Sees his form again and goes off of feeling - 30’s??
Partner: Did he like Michael Jackson being his son in law?
I ask…
Elvis: He taught me a few things … Michael was always moving and grooving to something, he couldn’t sit still …
My partner’s coworker used to date Elvis’ manager, some questions about that …
Partner: Ask him if he remembers (coworker name)
Elvis: I do remember her and I used to see her at my shows
Sev: He’s expanding on that to say it seemed like there wasn’t one that she didn’t go to when he was in town… he’s saying she was kind of gossipy and that she could talk your ear off (verified by my partner as true)
Sev: Image of Flowers, and Guitar pick (item she would bring to him and maybe an item she has of his, when I see the guitar pick he says she stole it haha)
Partner: Even before we brought up her name, did he ever think of her?
Sev: Translating emotional sensations of compassion into words - there’s like a strong emotional bond and the words “I remember everyone who’s touched my life personally”
Elvis: She cried so much
Partner: Okay. Probably tears of happiness. Is that what he means?
Sev: When he passed, he saying it seems like the whole world was crying for him
Elvis: But no one more than my mom
Sev: Translating emotional sensations into words - he’s saying how he didn’t feel like he deserved his mom
Sev: There’s like this energy of a strained relationship that like … when he went to do his thing, he kind of, many instances of leaving her behind. That's what it feels like. Not intentionally, just the nature of... his life.
Sev: It seems like he’s saying that’s one of his biggest regrets in his life
Partner: Ask him what his favorite fruit was?
Sev: I see him biting an apple first but the word I hear is “Pineapple” he’s steering me to talk about Hawaii for some reason
Sev: He shows me his vantage point of looking at the waves when he was in Hawaii
He wishes he did that more often
Elvis: I’m all around and everywhere I want to be
Sev: What’s something only you would know, but also something that is on the internet?
Elvis: I like baseball, I used to play (apparently true!)
Some strange head pain sensation that comes and goes lol
Sev: Are you saying you want to go? Can you please try to give me your favorite car again?
Sev: Some kind of an image of the long car, old Chevelle?
Sev: Thank you... for coming to this space, as you have come in peace. Please now go in peace. Thank you for the energy, information, and love. Blessed be.
Elvis: You're welcome, kid. Don't let anybody tell you that you can't do this.
Sev: He's saying he had many doubters of him at the beginning. He just had to show people what he had. And the timing was somehow right … when he did.
Closing Invocation & Energy Work
In this session, I was extremely surprised to look up many of the things I was given that were accurate to his life. This session also shows how a spirit’s communication has to filter through the medium (receiver’s) mind and body and the possible distortions, mental chatter and mistranslations that may come with that. Not to mention when we have no frame of reference for what we receive and the spirit has to work around to help us a bit more; very similar to charades. We are human after all. However, when we have honest and sincere intentions when doing this work; evidence based spirit communication is possible (especially when we get out of our own way lol). And at the highest levels of a strong connection, it can be seemingly indistinguishable from talking with a living breathing person from the depth of information one is capable of receiving. I also want to say anyone is capable of doing this work especially if you’re heart-centered and have the ability to day dream. I’m something like a rusty old phone for a spirit in a mediumship session, it is your love for your passed loved one, your connection with them that allows this communication to truly be possible. We don’t have to be a perfect vessel, just one that is willing to receive impressions with an open heart.
If you have read this far, thank you so much and if you’re interested in booking a mediumship session or any other service please check out the Services tab or The Store tab on my website.
I look forward to sharing more mediumship, psychic development, occult and spirituality related articles in the future and I’m grateful for Elvis and my partner’s participation in this session.
May you be blessed and divinely guided,
- Sev
